As part of our efforts to support businesses in all things video, we deliver training workshops to help you make better videos using your iPhone.
In every workshop, we explain all the tips and tricks to help you make the most out of your iPhone camera and we demonstrate and play around with a few gadgets, that attached to your iPhone, will take your video content to the next level.
Below you will find a list of all the products we love and have used with our iPhones to produce great quality results. We have also included a few suggestions to help you optimise your remote workflow, video conferencing and podcast recording.
NAIL THAT ZOOM MEETING
First impressions are everything. Improve the quality of your Zoom video call with just a few bits and pieces. Maybe you already have a camera or a microphone and would like some help to set it all up, just get in touch for a consultation to learn how to optimise your set up and get it all up and running. Simply send us a message and we will get back to you within the hour.
The latest iPhones have pretty decent audio recording quality at close range. However, if you are filming outdoors or in a crowded room, it might not be enough. Our product suggestions below will help you achieve better audio quality when shooting videos with your iPhone. The correct microphone can depend a lot on the type of video you are going to be making. Our first four suggestions are lapel mics. Consider how many people you are having on camera and how much budget you have available and go from there. There is a range of prices available. The last suggestion is a wireless microphone for those shoots when close range audio recording is not possible.
TRIPODS AND SUPPORT
Let’s be honest, no one wants to watch a shaky video. One of the first things we recommend in our workshops is to get a tripod that is stable enough but also portable. The options below have Mr. Fox seal of approval.
Natural light is your friend. But in order to make the most out of your iPhone camera, an extra set of lights is a must.
A handful of essentials items. We have bought these so many times that the brands should be the ones promoting us instead of the other way around!.
Remember to never ever bin used batteries, recycle them! Just take them to your local supermarket.
In a world where video is king, podcasting is very quickly gaining ground as go-to, easy to digest content. If you’re thinking of creating podcasts, these gadgets are our top recommendations for great audio quality.
